Jesus Christ: The Rock of Life! Matthew 7:24-27

Jesus had a way of teaching simple examples of things known, to make us understand things unknown (Parables). The following is one such parable Matthew 7:24-27)

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Jesus is The Rock of life. A person who builds his life upon the words of Jesus is like a man who built his house using a rock for the foundation!

One who builds his life by trusting in anything else other than His words is like a man who built his house on the sand!

The foundations of our lives are the things we trust in most. Ask yourself this question, "What do I trust in the most?" Money? My education? My career? The government? My doctor or lawyer? My husband or wife? My own abilities? My religion? What? Everyone trusts in something or someone.

The next question is this, "Can the people or things in which I presently trust in stand the test of time?" Can I really depend on them to not let me down? Do they really have my back? Because sooner or later everything and everyone we trust in besides Jesus WILL let us down! It's just a matter of time! And you know that I am right!

Jesus said a life built on trust in any of these things will eventually collapse, and great will be the fall of that life; because the pressures of life will surely come and beat upon us and the foundations upon which we live will crumble! And only the life built upon the words of Jesus will stand, both now and through eternity!

Jesus and his words are the only solid foundation that will withstand the rain, floods and winds of life! Don't wait 'til your house falls before you establish it upon The Rock. Jesus is The Rock of life. And salvation is the way to be founded upon Him!

Here's how: Repent of your sins, and call upon Jesus and be saved from your sins! Whosoever shall call upon him, shall be saved! Then build your life upon The Rock day by day, believing in and obeying his words!

And your house (your life) will never fall!

Introducing Jesus Christ, Savior of the World! John 3:16

Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World! If you feel lost-- its because you need the Savior-- Jesus Christ! He is the only begotten Son God, and the one and only Savior of the World!

John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

The hearts of people today are heavy with the burden of guilt and sin. That's because we have a conscience which has been constantly recording our sins and wrong-doing for our lifetime!

Jesus Christ paid the price for the sins of the world. And that includes you and me. He paid the price for our sins by dying on the Cross for us! After he died for sin, he was resurrected and got up from the dead so that one day you and I can get up from the dead also!

You may be thinking-- "this sounds too good to be true", that God would forgive me of my sins because Jesus died for me! It may sound too good to be true, but it is true! And believe me, its your only way out of sin!

No other person has ever lived a sinless life but Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Other religions may boast of having been started by a "good man". But none of them even suggest that their founders are the Son of God; or that they died for any man's sins--let alone the sins of the whole world!

Only Jesus Christ came down from Heaven for this purpose: to die for our sins, thus making peace between us and God the Father. Because of his great love for us he sent Jesus to die for us that we might be saved and have eternal life!

Some years ago, I realized that I was a sinner and needed Jesus to save me. I discovered that according to the Bible, if I died in my sins, I would go to Hell and be judged for my own sins forever! So I repented of my sins and asked Jesus to come into heart and to help me to live a life pleasing to God. That's been some years ago and I have never regretted my decision. And neither will you!

Won't you repent of your sins and ask Him to save you. He will. And the guilt of sin you now feel will be gone forever!

If you need help--just say this simple prayer to God aloud: "God, I know that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins against you. I believe that Jesus your only begotten Son shed his blood and died for me so that I can be saved. I receive you Jesus as my Savior and Lord. Amen!"

The Bible says that, "...whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved". (Acts 2:21)

If you have received Jesus Christ, send me a comment I'd be glad to help you in your walk with the Lord until His appearing!

Jesus: The Living Water John 4:1-26

Jesus went to Samaria to meet with a Samaritan woman at Jacob's well. The woman went to the well to draw water as was her routine. Jesus obviously knew that he would meet her there in the absence of his disciples who had left him to buy food.

Exhausted, Jesus asked the woman for a drink of water. She responded in surprise that Jesus being a Jew had asked a Samaritan for a drink, since Jews had nothing to do with Samaritans. (The Samaritans were kindred to Jews but of mixed blood.)

Then Jesus said, "If you knew the gift of God, (Salvation) and who it is that is saying to you, Give me a drink; you would have asked him for a drink, and he would have given you living water." (Paraphrased)

The woman then said, "Sir you have nothing with which to draw water, and the well is deep; so where then does this living water you speak of come from?" (Paraphrased)

Jesus responded, "Whoever drinks the water from this well will get thirsty again, but the water that I give shall be a well springing up unto eternal life!" (Paraphrased)

Jesus told the woman things about herself that only God could know. And during their short encounter, He revealed himself to her as the Messiah, the Son of God. And now he wants an encounter to reveal Himself to you!

Ask Jesus now to forgive you of your sins; and when you do with all your heart, he will forgive you and give you Salvation that will be like living water springing up inside you unto eternal life! Don't put it off. Do it now!

Jesus is waiting!

God's Big Net! John 13:47-50

Jesus always used parables when teaching those who were not already following him about the kingdom of God. A parable is a short example of something already known to explain something unknown.

One such parable Jesus used was about fishing to reveal what will happen at the end of the world. Listen to what he said in Matthew 13:47-50:

47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net that was cast into the sea, and gathered every kind:
48 which when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Jesus is saying that the kingdom of heaven is like a net which men threw into the sea and caught many kinds of fish. When the net was drawn to shore, fishermen separated the good fish from the bad. The good fish were placed in containers while the bad were thrown away.

Then in verse 49 and 50 Jesus uses this scenario to explain what will happen to people at the end of the world.

Like the fishermen gathered in many fish, God shall gather all the people of the world and judge them! The just shall be separated from the wicked, and the wicked shall be cast into the lake of fire! And there shall be wailing (crying) and gnashing of teeth (the gnawing of the tongue in pain)
As harsh as this parable might sound, Jesus tells it because he loves us so much and does not want us to experience the horrors of hell and the lake of fire which is the consequences of sin!

This is the reason he gave his life for us. Jesus told Nicodemus, a Jewish Rabbi in John 3:16 of God the Father's great love for us, to keep us from the judgement of hell and the lake of fire. Listen to what he said:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Jesus died for my sins and yours upon that cross. If you will repent of your sins, just as I have for mine, (tell God you are sorry for your sins and mean it) and ask Jesus to forgive you and change your heart, he will! Then live your life in obedience to Him, and you will spend eternity in Heaven instead of in the lake of fire with the wicked!

Jesus has come into the world just for this purpose, to save us from the consequences of our sins!
For the wages (consequences) of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 (Parenthesis is mine)

Jesus is God's gift to you! Won't you receive His gift of eternal life which is in Christ Jesus!

Jesus Heals the Nobleman's Son John 4:44-53

Jesus entered the city of Cana a second time. The first time he was there at a wedding he had turned water into wine. On this occasion, a nobleman (or we would say a man of wealth and authority) heard that Jesus was in town.

Now this nobleman was from the city of Capernaum, and had a son back home who was about to die. He had heard stories about Jesus and how he had healed many sick people and had done many miracles in the lives of the people of Israel. But he did not yet believe that Jesus was the Messiah and Savior of the world, whom Moses said would come.

Now let's take up the story in John 4:47-53:

47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

In other words, Jesus said that unless he constantly proved that he was sent from God by doing something supernatural, Israel would not believe he was the Messiah (which means Christ or the anointed one). They would not believe by what he said, for faith comes by hearing. They would only believe by seeing, as many people are today.

49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

The nobleman, ignoring the point that Jesus was making insisted that if he didn't come with him, his son would die.

But Jesus refused to go with the nobleman, instead he challenged him to believe without seeing:

50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. (bolded mine)

This is what Jesus was trying to get this man to do, believe in His words. And this is what he is attempting to get you to do, believe in his written words. When we believe in the words of Jesus, He will do miracles for us too! Now let's find out what happened after the man believed.

51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. (1pm)
53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

Let me explain. As the man was nearing home in Capernaum, his servants met him to give him the good news that his son's condition had turned around! He was not dead, as everyone expected but rather was doing better. The nobleman began to question about what time it was when his son began to feel better. And just as he suspected, it was the same time he was talking to Jesus, and Jesus had said to him "Your son lives!" (Paraphrased)

When he knew it was the same time, about 1pm the previous day that the fever left his son, was the same time Jesus had said "Your son lives", he and his entire family believed that Jesus was indeed the Messiah, and Savior of the world!

In your time of need, take Jesus at his word and you too will discover that He truly is the Son of God and Savior of the world!

Jesus Christ: The Forgiver of Sins Mark 2:10

From the time that Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, every human being has been born with the nature of sin.

Psalm 51:5 reveals that we were born in sin and shaped in iniquity (different kinds of sinfulness). 'Sin' is our nature of rebellion against God, which we all received from Adam our forefather.

Jesus Christ was sent to earth as God's Solution to our problem of sin. In Mark 2:10 Jesus said, "....the Son of man (meaning himself) hath power on earth to forgive sins,".

Some time ago there was a commercial on T.V. in which a man made the statement, "It may not be your fault, but it is your problem". That's the way sin is. It may be Adam and Eve's fault. But it sure is our problem. The fact is that we will still suffer everlasting punishment in hell and the lake of fire, if we die in our sins.

But because of God's great love for us, He sent us his Solution for sin. John 3:16 says,

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

The apostle Paul said in Romans 6:23 of the Bible, "for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Only Jesus Christ, the Son of God has the power to forgive sins. When he died on the Cross for the sins of the world, that act guaranteed you and me the opportunity to be forgiven. But we must have a repentant heart (be sorrowful for our sins) and ask for his forgiveness. The blood of Jesus has given us that right!

Salvation is a free gift. But we must ask in order to receive. Another scripture says "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved". If you will repent of your sins and call on him now to save you, he will! Some years ago I repented of my sins, asked his forgiveness and he saved me! He'll do the same for you if you will ask Him!

Remember, God's gift to you is eternal life through Christ Jesus The Lord!

Jesus Christ: The True Bread from Heaven! - John 6:28-33

Someone came to Jesus and asked him, "What shall we do that we might work the works of God? Or we would say, what do we have to do in order to please God?" John 6:28

And here was Jesus' answer: "This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he sent." verse 29. Here is how we would say that today: What you need to do to please God is to believe the one that God sent to you! Jesus of course was referring to himself.

Then those Jews who were talking to Jesus said, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work? John 6:30. In other words, they were asking Jesus what sign or miracle would he perform to prove to them that he had been sent from God like Moses.

Then they said unto Jesus, "Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat" (John 6:31), ; suggesting that Moses had done this great miracle by giving their Jewish ancestors "bread from heaven".

Jesus corrected them by saying in a word that it was not Moses that gave them bread from heaven to eat (It was God!). Then Jesus said, "but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven." verse 32.

Next Jesus made an astounding statement: "For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world". verse 33

Jesus of course spoke of himself as bread in a figurative sense, because bread gives life to the body when eaten. But Jesus gives eternal life to the spirit of man when believed upon! That's why Jesus said to them in verse 29, when they asked him what must they do to please God--believe on him (Jesus) whom he (God the Father) has sent.

If you want to please God, you must believe on Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sin. How do you do this? By believing the Gospel.

What is the Gospel? It is the 'Good News': That Jesus Christ is the Son of God; that he was sent from Heaven for the purpose of dying for our sins. And after paying for our sins on the Cross, he went to hell for us, and was resurrected the third day!

If you believe this, then ask him to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart, making you a son of God! He will!

Jesus is The Bread of Heaven which if a person eats, he or she will receive eternal life!

If you received Jesus Christ today, all Heaven rejoices with you! And I rejoice with you! E-mail me and I will help you to understand how to live for Him-- as we await his appearing!

Signs of Jesus' Return Matthew 24

Jesus Christ shall return to the earth to rule as King. What we are witnessing are the signs of the heavens and earth foretelling his soon return. In Matthew 24: 3 Jesus' disciples of that day asked him when would he return to the earth and what would be the sign of his coming again to the earth:

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privatelly, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

If you will read Matthew 24 in its entirity you will see that all of the various types of disasters and corruption which we are presently experiencing are the signs Jesus spoke of that would pre-empt his return to earth. These signs are wide and varied in nature to include the recent beginning of world economic colapse, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, civil unrest, epidemics, moral decay, idolatry (the worship of other things instead of God) food shortages, violence and wars.

Jesus also foretold the rise of false christs and false prophets. These include government leaders, religious leaders, scientists, actors, singers and musicians, athletes, and positive thinking gurus who lead millions away from Christ to destruction, while they themselves sell the souls of men in exchange for a moment of power, riches and fame!

Multitudes are killing themselves out of fear and hoplessness because of the things that are coming upon the world. Suicide however is not he answer. Jesus Christ is!

No one can give you the hope that Jesus gives. Through the forgiveness of sins, which he paid for on The Cross with his life, Jesus offers new life for the here and now and a promise of Heaven beyond death! He says, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." John 11:25

Only the Son of God who came down from Heaven especially to die for the sins of mankind can offer life from the dead to all those who repent of their sins and call on Him for eternal life!

Call upon Him today. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins, and to come into your heart and you too will lose the fear of living.... and dying!

The Mary Question? Luke 11:27-28

One day while Jesus was teaching, a woman in the crowd yelled out a compliment to him about his mother Mary. Following is the account of this incident and Jesus' surprising response to the woman's compliment:

27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

So what the woman said in our way of speaking is this: "Blessed is the womb that birthed you, and the breasts that nursed you."

And here's what Jesus said in reply, "Yes, you're right Mary is blessed, but those who hear my words and do them are even more blessed than she!"

Why did he say such a thing? Well, let's find out!

Many today still honor Mary very highly as this woman did, for giving birth to the Savior of the world! And I agree that Mary is to be highly esteemed. For she was chosen by God to fulfill one of the most important assignments given to any person on earth. She brought the Savior of all mankind into the world to die for our sins! And we should highly esteem her for the importance of her task and for the sake of her obedience!

But of far greater importance, is what Jesus did himself! After Mary gave him birth, he took the sins of the world upon himself and died upon the Cross for all men! And when you hear and believe this message, you have a right to eternal life!

And that's what makes you more blessed than Mary's blessing for mothering Jesus. Because Mary was not saved because she gave birth and nursed Jesus, but because she also believed in him for the forgiveness of her sins!

Mary too had to receive forgiveness from her sins through faith in the shed blood of Jesus, the same as you and me!

Won't you believe that Jesus died on the Cross for you? If you do then pray to God and ask him to forgive you of your sins in Jesus' name. He will, no matter who you are or what you've done!

Ask him now!

Jesus: The Good Shepherd! Luke 15:4-7

On a certain occasion, Jesus was accused by some of the religious leaders in Israel of accepting sinners into his company and even eating with them. Here is how Jesus replied (Luke 15:4-7):

4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentence.

The men of Israel understood sheep herding, because it had been a fundamental occupation in Israel from the time of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, hundreds of years earlier. Jesus knew that they understood the strong love of a shepherd for each of his sheep. And based on that kind of love, they all knew that it was not uncommon for a shepherd to leave 99 sheep in the wilderness under the care of another and go after the one that was lost, until it was found. And when it was found, the shepherd would carry it home on his shoulders and celebrate its return with friends and neighbors!

By this example, Jesus expressed why he kept company with sinful people. Because he sees us as precious lost sheep that only He can save!

In John 10:11 Jesus says of himself, "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth this life for the sheep." And in vs. 27-28, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."

Are you a lost sheep belonging to Jesus? If you are, then you will hear his voice calling you through this message. And if you hear his voice, repent and turn from your sins and follow him! He is ready to receive you now! Just tell him you are sorry for you sin, and ask him to forgive you and to come into your heart and to change your life. He will, just as he has done for me and many others! Only don't put it off. You need to do it now. Go ahead and pray. Then let me know by e-mail!

And Heaven will rejoice!

Born Again! What Does It Mean? John 3:3, 6-7

We understand what natural birth is all about because that is how all of us got here. There is a natural birth, and there is a spiritual birth.

When we are born of our father and mother, this is a birth of the flesh or a natural birth.

Though our bodies are made of flesh, we are also born with an invisible spirit and a soul on the inside of our bodies. So when we are born as babies, we are born with a spirit, a soul and a body.

In John 3:6 Jesus said That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

Or in other words, that which our parents give birth to is like our parents in nature or sinful. Then he said, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Or in other words that which the Spirit of God gives birth to is like God in nature without sin.

Jesus was born of the Spirit of God without sin. John 3:16 calls him the only begotten Son (of God).

So when we are born into this world, we are born with the nature of sin from our parents all the way back to Adam, the first man that sinned. His sinful nature was passed down to us from generation to generation through child birth.

So we were born of the flesh-sinful. Jesus was born of the Spirit-without sin. That is why Jesus said of us "Ye (you) must be born again" John 3:7.

Our first birth is a natural birth. But Jesus said if we are to enter into the kingdom of God, we must be born again (our spirits must be born of God's Spirit).

It is the Spirit of God that facilitates this new birth of our spirits.

How Does this New Birth Take Place?
Jesus said that he came to die for the sins of the whole world. And he fulfilled this by willingly dying on the Cross for each persons sins against God, so that we would not have to pay for our own sins. After 3 days he was raised up from the dead, having satisfied the payment for our sins which was death and hell. John 3:15-17

Here is how the spiritual new birth takes place: When you believe what Jesus did to pay for your sins, and are sorry for you sins against God, and you ask Him to forgive you, calling on Jesus to cleanse your sins with his blood, you will be born again!

Romans 10:9-11, 13 says,

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Passage into The Kingdom of God! John 10:14-15

On a particular day when Jesus was out and about on the streets of Israel, parents were bringing their children to him to be touched and blessed. His disciples stopped this activity, telling them to go away. When Jesus realized what was happening, he was very upset with his disciples and said, (Mark 10:14-15): 14 Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. As Jesus often did, he used this situation to teach his disciples something about the kingdom of God which they did not know. In this case his lesson concerned how to enter into the kingdom of God. First of all, Jesus began by telling his disciples why they should not forbid the little children from coming to him; for as he put it "of such is the kingdom of God". Sounds to me like Jesus was saying that there are many children already in the kingdom of God! Jesus' second statement concerning this subject was even stronger. He said that whoever does not receive the kingdom of God "as a little child will not enter therein". In other words, if we do not come to God with a pure heart and an humble attitude like a little child, we will not get into the kingdom of God! Some people try to come to God in pride on their own terms, because in this life they are respected by men. But God resists the proud and gives grace or favor to the humble. Only admitting that we are sinners and in need of the Savior will cause God to respond to us. We must come to God with the humility of a little child, knowing nothing, having nothing and needing everything from God! If you will repent of your sins to God and ask Him to forgive you by the blood of Jesus, and in the name of Jesus, he will hear you, cleanse you of your sins and give you passage through Jesus Christ into the kingdom of God! Don't wait until tomorrow. Do it now. Tomorrow might be too late!

Power to be the Sons of God! John 1:12

Man is seeking the supernatural. Desiring to be extra-terrestrial. Seeking for life after death. Seeking through science and science - fiction the keys to living forever in a supernatural existence!

What we are seeking is eternal life. Life that never ends. The solution to death. Thus in science -- stem cell research, cloning, cryogenics and in science -fiction, x-men, mutants, superman and all the superheroes. And on the dark side of our imagination --vampires, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and so many other characters. And through them we live out our desires for the quest for eternal life!

Our fascination with life after death and for powers beyond our natural abilities is the result of our eternal connection with a supernatural, eternal Creator.

What man is really searching for is that which he lost, the power to be a son of God! We did not come from apes. But were made in the image and likeness of God. Genesis 1:27:

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

And to return to being sons or off springs of God is what we are truly seeking. But through the wrong means which will ultimately bring us to death and destruction!

Science and theatre offers us their paths in our quest for eternity. But John an apostle of Jesus Christ, the Son of God reveals to us the only true path to eternal life:

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12 (Green is my emphasis)

Through Jesus Christ, we have been given the power or ability to become sons of God! And it is through believing in him that this power has been extended to us by God!

If you will repent of your sins and ask for his forgiveness, he will make you a son of God. It is through Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God that we also become sons God, by believing on his name!

Repent of your sins, and tell Jesus you believe and accept what he did for you on the Cross by dying for your sins so that you won't have to! You too will be born again and become a son of God! Don't put it off...

Do it today!

Jesus Heals the Nobleman's Son John 4:46-53

Snapshots of the Real Jesus! Part 3 John 6:1-15

Jesus Feeds 5000 with 2 fish and 5 loaves John 6:1-15
"After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased. And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.

And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? And this he said to prove him (see what he would say): for he himself knew what he would do.

Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. (In other words they ate as much fish and bread as they wanted, all 5000 of them!)

When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. (or wasted)

Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. (In other words the Messiah Moses had spoken of)

When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone."

Wow! Do you understand what you have just read? Jesus just performed here one of the greatest miracles in the history of mankind. He fed 5000 people with 2 fish and 5 loaves or biscuits. What a miracle! Only the Son of God could have done such a thing!

When these 5000 men had finished eating as much as they wanted and were full, they realized what a great miracle Jesus had performed. And these Jewish men were so astounded by what had happened that they were all with one accord convinced that Jesus was their Messiah and were determined to take him by force and make him the King of the Jews!

Jesus had to escape into a mountain to keep from being made king before the time. Wow!

Why did he not let them make him the King of the Jews then, since it is obvious that that is who he was? Because it was not the time for him to come into his kingdom. He had to die for the sins of all mankind first, otherwise we would all die in our sins and have no way out of hell. Wow! What great love he has shown us!

John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

But when he returns to the earth, then he will return as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! But you need to prepare for his return, by repenting of your sins and asking for this everlasting life. Jesus said in order to enter into his kingdom, you must be born again spiritually, John 3:3. It starts with you being sorry for your sins and asking him to forgive you and cleanse you from sin.

Jesus did miracles when he walked the earth 2000 years ago. And he still does miracles today, after getting up from the dead and ascending into Heaven. But the greatest miracle he has ever done is dying for our sins and making it possible for us to be the sons and daughters of God!

Ask him to forgive you of your sins and come into your life today. He will!
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved! Romans 10:13
Don't put it off. Do it now! You are not promised tomorrow!

Jesus, The Born Witness of Truth! John 18:37

Jesus Christ: Farmer of the Heart - Matthew 13:1-9

Jesus was teaching his disciples in the house on a certain day, as he often did. Afterwards, he went outside and sat by the seaside or beach. A large number of people, maybe even thousands gathered around him to listen to him teach. And here is what he said, (Matthew 13:4-9):

3...Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6 And when the sun was up, they were scortched; and becasue they had no root, they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

In the above story, Jesus tells of a farmer who went out throwing seeds indescriminatly onto different kinds of ground, some fell outside the plowed rows onto trails where men walked. Birds ate those seed, as they lay on top of the ground. (verse 4)

Some of the seed fell on rocky places where there was not much fertile soil, and they grew up fast because of the shallowness of the ground below them. When the sun came out, they quickly dried up and died because their roots could not push through the hard ground to find moisture. (verses 5-6)

And some fell into places where thorns grew. When the thorns grown to maturity their roots choked out the good seed, and they too died. (verse 7)

Yet some of the seed fell into fertile, plowed rows where they were intended to be planted, and all of these produced a crop; some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold and some a thirtyfold crop. (verse 8)

When Jesus had finished telling this story to the great crowd he said with a loud voice, "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear"! (Matthew 13:9; Luke 8:8)

And I say to you, even as Jesus said to those who were listening to him that day; if you have ears to hear, then hear what the Lord Jesus is saying to you through this story today!

And know that Jesus is still The Farmer of the Heart!

And when you hear this message of salvation through Jesus Christ and believe it, you are more blessed than Mary was when she gave birth to Jesus, because you have received eternal life! And this is the blessing Jesus was born to give to the whole world!

Jesus Heals a Withered Hand! Mark 3:1-5

Jesus is the same today as he was in the days of the Bible. He is the same and is doing the same miracles for people today as he did when he walked the earth in Israel. Let us look at the case of the man with the withered hand in Mark 3:1-5:

1 And he entered again into the synagogue and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
4 And he saith unto them; Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
5 And when he had looked around about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

You may be thinking, "But that was then, and Jesus Christ no longer lives." Well I will say to you that Jesus Christ is alive today. Because after he was crucified, he was raised from the dead by the power of God three days later. And he has been alive ever since! Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day and forever."

This literally means that Jesus is doing today what he did then! Furthermore he has been doing miracles for people who called upon him in faith for 2,000 years. And he is ready to do the same for you!

Two millenia after Jesus died for our sins, rose from the dead and ascended to Heaven, there is more sickness and disease than there was when he walked the earth. If we ever needed his healing power, we need it today!

If you or someone in your family is sick or plagued with a disease, ask Jesus to heal you. You may not understand how he is able to do it. But just ask him in simple faith, believing that he will. And watch what he does!

Because Jesus is still the Healer!

Snapshots of the Real Jesus! Part 2 Matthew 4;9

Jesus, Israel's Most Famous Jewish Rabbi!
Jesus is the most famous Jew who ever lived. He was famous for doing in abundance what no other human being had ever done, healing the sick, delivering the demonically bound, raising the dead, feeding thousands with a handful of food, walking on water and dying on the Cross for the sins of the world. Now look at three snapshots of the real Jesus!

Matthew 9:23-26
And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making noise, He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

28-31
And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straightly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

Matthew 4:23-25
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judae-a, and from beyond Jordan.

Think about what you just read and change your mind about who Jesus really is! Jesus was the most famous of all Jews, more than Moses, Elijah, King David, Samuel and all the rest. He is the most famous person to ever live!

No other human being has done more for mankind in his life and his death than Jesus Christ! Though as you can see by these snapshots, he was famous during his lifetime, he has become even more famous since his death and resurrection. How can you not believe that this man is the Son of God!

Repent of your sins now as he has commanded you, and believe the Gospel, and you shall be saved, you and your house! Don't put it off, -- do it now!

(New Blog Coming Tuesday Morning July 13th) Snapshots of the Real Jesus!: Part1: Luke 4:31-36

Over time Jesus has been portrayed in many different ways. Let's take a moment to look at who Jesus really is according to scripture. Luke 4:30-36:

A Person of Great Authority and Power!
Luke 4:30-36

30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way,
31 And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.
32 And they were astonished at this doctrine: for his word was with power.
33 And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.

After being removed from his local synagogue to be thrown over the cliff in his hometown of Nazareth (for Jesus had angered his neighbors by introducing himself as the Messiah through the reading of a passage of scripture recorded in Isaiah 61) Jesus went to the city of Capernaum and taught on the sabbath days.

Wow, was this Jesus bold, barely escaped death for openly admitting that he was the Messiah to his Jewish neighbors! And what does he do -- goes to another city and continues to teach and publicly demonstrate that what he had said in Nazareth about himself was indeed true!

He simply amazed the people in Capernaum with his teaching. They had never heard anyone in Israel teach with such authority. While he was teaching in one of the synagogues, there was a man there who was demon possessed. Jesus, teaching with the power of the Holy Spirit, stirred up the demon inside the man and he cried out and said, "I know who you are---The Holy One of God". (In other words, the Messiah). That's who Jesus had told his hometown folk that he was! But he didn't want the devil announcing who he was, that's for his followers to do! (Lol)

Well, Jesus proceeded to demonstrate who he was to the crowd by telling the demon to shut up and come out of the man! The demon threw the man to the ground but obeyed Jesus and came out of him as Jesus had commanded him, without hurting the man.

Wow, the crowd went wild with astonishment and said, "What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits and they come out"!

You have just taken a look at the real Jesus! After dying for our sins he got up from the dead and ascended into Heaven. And today he has the same authority and power over the devil as he did when he was on the earth. He is able and willing to deliver you and your family members from the power of the devil as well. Just ask him sincerely, and he will!

Then repent of your sins, calling on Jesus to save you and he will give you a new life! Get started now! It's a good day to get saved!

Jesus: The Good Shepherd Luke 15:4-7

Born Again! What Does It Mean? John 3:3,6-7

In John 3:6 Jesus said That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

Jesus, Sent to Save Not To Condemn John 3:16-17

God's great love for us is expressed in John 3:16-17 when Jesus says,

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

God must truly love man. Because if he didn't he would not have shown so much mercy to mankind for so many years. He would have judged the world long ago. But He has waited and waited year after year. What has God waited so long for? Why has he not judged the world before now?

It is because of his great love for us. God loves us so much that he does not want any to perish. That is why he has held off his judgement of the world for so long. He is like a father who loves a child so much that even though the child deserves to be punished, he prolongs the spanking, hoping the child will heed his verbal warnings, turn and obey.

Well, God's verbal warnings come through his word, the Bible. He has warned that a time of judgement is coming upon the world. A time that is so terrible that unless God shortens the days, no one will survive! That day approaches even as I write this blog. In the Bible it is known as the day of tribulation!

The economy collapse, the turbulent weather, wars and threats of war, the rise in domestic violence, international unrest, plane crashes, tsunamis, and overall worldwide destruction are signs that God's judgement is finally upon us.

Jesus, the Savior spoke of this time. And in the midst of impending destruction, his words still echo through time!

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Won't you call upon Jesus today, while there is still time. Tomorrow might be too late! Repent of your sins by telling him you are sorry for your sins. Ask him to forgive you for your sins and to be your Savior and Lord. Thank him for dying for you on the cross and shedding his blood for you. He will save you just as he has saved me and others. Do it now. Don't put it off!

Receive God's love now, so that not matter what happens in the world you might not perish but have everlasting life!

The Kingdom of God is like a Mustard Seed, Luke 13:18-19

Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God and Jewish Messiah having come from Heaven, taught the Jews about the kingdom of God through parables. A 'parable' is a simple story about something that is known to reveal or explain something unknown. On one such teaching occasion Jesus used the following parable found in Luke 13:18-19 to explain how the kingdom of God is planted and grows:

18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

Jesus explains the kingdom of God as being like a small seed, in this case a mustard seed. He goes on to tell how a man planted this small seed in his garden. Over time, the small mustard seed grew into a great tree, so big that the birds of the air were able to build nests and live in the tree; the tree that was once only a small seed!

In what way does the kingdom of God resemble the planting of a small seed you might ask? Because it begins by the planting of simple words into the hearts of people like you and me.

Our hearts are like gardens, able to sustain life and growth of whatever is planted in them. Through words, ideas are sown into our hearts. When we hear these words we are compelled to believe or disbelieve them.

Jesus explained to the people that when they hear his words, and believe them, the kingdom of God begins to grow in their hearts like a small mustard seed grows in a garden. And over a period of time, his words will produce a great dwelling place of life in their hearts! Jesus said "...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

One of the first things Jesus preached was, "Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17. The word 'repent' means to turn from one thing to another. What Jesus wants us to turn from are our sins. What he wants us to turn to is Him, for the forgiveness of sins. For He is our Salvation!

If you will repent of your sins and turn to Jesus now, you will be forgiven by God the Father and the kingdom of God will begin to grow in your heart today!

The way to repent: Simply tell Jesus you are sorry for your sins. Ask him to forgive you and make you a new person. He will! Then read your Bible, pray daily and live for him! E-mail me, I will be glad to assist you in growing in the kingdom of God as it grows in you!

Jesus: The Strait Gate! Matthew 7:13-14

You've probably heard it said that there are many ways to God. Well that is the opinion of men. But is that really true? Let's see what Jesus has to say about it. In Matthew 7:13-14 he said,

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

According to Jesus the way to God is a strait gate or opening. The word strait is not used the same way today. But in this context it means narrow. So Jesus is saying that the way to God is narrow and not broad or wide. If there were many ways to God, the way would be wide like a multi-lane freeway.

But Jesus is saying that the way to God is not like a multi-lane freeway, but like a crooked narrow trail up through the mountains not often traveled. The broad way, is like a public thoroughfare that many travel daily. It leads to destruction and not to God!

The broad way is the way of many religions. It is easy to find, easy to travel, but leads to destruction in the end! (Hell and Lake of Fire!)

Narrow is the way that leads to eternal life and few there are who find it!

The narrow way is Jesus! John 14:6 reads,

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Don't be deceived by the broad ways of religion! Many travel these ways. But Jesus is the only way that leads to Life!

Call upon Him repenting of your sins! He will open unto you the path of life into the kingdom of God! He has done it for many others. He will do it for you. He is no respecter of persons. If you will call upon him for forgiveness of your sins he will not turn you away! But do it now the time is short. No one is promised tomorrow!

Don't take a chance on the broad ways, they only lead to destruction!

But Jesus is the only way to Life!

Ask Him to forgive you of your sins, and to come into your heart and you too will lose the fear of living.... and dying!

Jesus Is Calling! Do You Hear the Call? Matthew 9:9-13

On a certain occasion, Jesus healed a paralyzed man by forgiving him of sin, and telling him to pick up the pallet upon which he laid and to go home. The crowd who witnessed this miracle that day was ecstatic with excitement, shouting praises to God for giving this kind of power to mankind! (And we still have it today through Jesus, The Healer.)

After leaving that incident, Jesus saw a man named Matthew sitting at a tax collection table. He looked at him and simply said, "Follow me!" (My punctuation). And Matthew immediately got up from where he was sitting and followed Jesus!

Later after Jesus arrived home, he sat down to eat dinner with people who had bad reputations; people who were considered sinners by the church-goers of that day in Israel. Some of these religious folk asked Jesus' followers why he was eating with such bad people.

The word finally got back to Jesus what was being said. Here is his response (Matthew 9:12-13):
12 ...They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

In other words, people who are well do not need a doctor. But people who are sick do!

13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Or we would say, "You need to learn what I meant in the Bible when I said, I will have mercy on mankind (and shed my own blood) to forgive man's sin, rather than continue receiving the blood of animals which can never forgive sin. Because I have come here, not to call those to repent who are already right with God, but to call those to repent who are not!"

Jesus sees and knows that we are all spiritually sick with sin. He has come from Heaven to die for us, and to give his blood (like a sacrificial lamb in Israel) to heal us spiritually. But we must believe, repent of sin and ask for the salvation he has provided with his death on the Cross.

If you are already right with God, and you know it without a shadow of doubt, then this message is not for you. But if you know in your heart you are not right with God, Jesus is calling you right now to repent of your sins and to follow him, just as surely as he walked up to Matthew and told him.

He's in your face right now and he's saying to you, "Follow Me!" Do you hear the call?

If you do, ask him to forgive your sins, and to change your heart and make you a new person! He will, because you're the reason he came; and you're the reason he died and rose again!

Just tell him you are sorry for your sin, and ask him to forgive you and to come into your heart and to change your life. He will, just as he has done for me and many others! Only don't put it off. You need to do it now. Go ahead and pray. Then let me know by e-mail!

And Heaven will rejoice!

A Prayer for Businesses 2Chronicles 7:14

2Chronicles 7:14 says,
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Father,
we worship you who are the Lord of Heaven and Earth. The creator of all things. The One who has given all work to mankind for our livelihood and for your glory. You are the founder and sustainer of every good work and endeavor among men. And it is you who have given all men work as it has pleased you.

We as employees come to you on behalf of our company, its stockholders, its managers, administrators and officers. And we humble ourselves before you Lord of Heaven and Earth.

We ask you to forgive us for any wrong doings on the part of our stockholders, our managers, administrators and officers. We repent of all wrong that we have done to one another, and any others in the course of our business and our personal lives. We ask that you would forgive us and change our hearts toward our neighbor.

Father, forgive us for our greed and the love of money and those things that are against you and our neighbor in business that we are guilty of thinking and doing in the name of money. Create in us a right relationship with You, our fellow co-workers and our customers.

We ask that you would comfort those who have been laid off from work. That you would protect them from every destructive force. Heal their hurts and pains. Send support on every hand. Let them not be dismayed. Open new doors of employment for them. Let them know that you Father are with them as you reveal your love and provision.

Now Father, give us new direction in the days ahead as you bless the works our hands and increase the fruit of our labor, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Jesus, The Born Witness of Truth! John 18:37

Jesus is the revealed truth of God. His existence in the world is for this purpose, that truth through him might be manifested, or exposed. Truth up to this point was not revealed in full but only in part through the prophets of the Old Testament. But through his person (Jesus), truth was fully known. Listen to what Jesus said to Pilate, just before he was crucified about why he had come to earth (John 18:37):

37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Pilate asked him was he a king, referring to the King of the Jews. Jesus said in so many words 'that's true I am a king, but the real reason I was born is to reveal truth'. No one knows what "truth" really is but Jesus! He is the only one who was in Heaven with God and came down from Heaven as both man and God.

Jesus was born to reveal truth! He is the only person ever born for this purpose. He was sent from Heaven to reveal the heart and desires of God to the people of Earth. Because he came down from Heaven only he can reveal the will or desires of God for us, to us!

18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he (Jesus) hath declared him. (The Father) John 1:18

No man from the earth has ever seen God the Father; only Jesus who was with the Father in Heaven before he came to the Earth.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him (The Father) that sent me. John 6:38

Here, Jesus explains the reason he came to earth, not to do what he himself wanted to do (his own will), but to do what God the Father sent him to do (God the Father's will).

40 And this is the will of him (The Father) that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40 (All parenthesis are mine)

In this scripture, Jesus explains what the will of God is for us. And that is that everyone who sees or understands who Jesus is, and accepts and believes in what he has done for them on the cross, will recieve everlasting or eternal life. Eternal life is the life of God. Jesus also adds that he will raise such people up or resurrect them at the last day!

The above is "truth"! This is what Jesus came to reveal and to fulfill! In John 3:16-17, Jesus tells what the truth of God is in his own words:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him (Jesus) should not perish (in Hell), but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but the world through him might be saved.

Jesus came to the Earth from Heaven to reveal this "truth" to you! If you will repent of your sins and believe the "truth" you will be given the everlasting life of God and receive a place in Heaven to live when you die, or when Jesus returns (which ever comes first)!

Do it now!

There is no time to waste!

Receive Jesus into your heart today and live for his return!

Jesus Heals the Nobleman's Son John 4:46-53
